Bingo lovers! Party lovers! B*WITCHED LOVERS (hiya)! UNITE!
The absolutely amazing Bongo’s Bingo has announced a special run of shows across the UK in celebration of St Patrick’s Day.
The team will be delivering their high-energy shows in Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow across four nights – with each one featuring special guests, iconic Irish girl group B*witched!
Never heard of it before? Let me explain. Bongo’s Bingo is a totally revolutionary show full of chaos, cocktails, crazy prizes, and several rounds of bingo – with some dance-offs thrown in for good measure. Think Gala Bingo with an interval for raving in-between. The organisers say that they are “proud to offer a show that cannot be replicated or found elsewhere, offering everyone a wild escape from reality for a few hours where life’s worries and stresses can be left at the door”.
Essentially, it’s bingo, but reinvented. I LOVE a game of bingo, but you won’t find this down at your local hall. One minute, your eyes are down looking for a full house – the next, you’re up and dancing to whichever 90s sing-a-long classic is being blared through the venue. Prizes in the past have been known to include Henry Hoovers and pink, fluffy unicorns. It’s completely bonkers, and in all honesty, no words can do it justice. It’s something that you would really need to go and experience for yourself; so you’re in luck!
The Leeds evening will be held at the O2 Academy, while Newcastle’s three individual shows are set to take place at Boiler Shop. Glasgow’s date will be returning to SWG3. Party revellers can expect a night to remember with fancy dress, face paint, themed prizes and non-stop Irish bangers!
Tickets for the dates are on sale through the Bongo’s Bingo app as of Monday 6 January; any remaining tickets are also now available at bongosbingo.co.uk – but watch out, they’ll be selling fast!
