I’ve been saying for aaaages that I wanted to go to a music festival. I’d done T in the Park (back when it existed – boo hoo) in 2015, and thought it was AMAZING. But every summer since then I’ve moved back home to work, so it’s been difficult trying to organise anything like that. Until this year, that is, when the angels that are the TRNSMT organisers decided to plonk the festival’s two weeks either side of my graduation day. I know that was especially for me, obviously. After much (not much) deliberation, I decided to buy the full 5-day ticket – why not, eh?
As fortune would have it, I can now say I have been to a festival in SCOTLAND, no less, where the weather has been SUNNY. I know. Madness. Checking the weather forecast the week before, I saw that the first day was expected to reach 28°C, with the following days’ temperatures also being above the norm. This of course meant that no matter how much it was definitely not Coachella I was at, I had to dress like I was attending Coachella. See below:
It was definitely a memorable weekend. Not only did I get to FINALLY see Arctic Monkeys live, I also got to see Stereophonics, The Killers, and QUEEN. LIKE, ACTUAL QUEEN. My love for Brian May is about as big as his hair.
Anyone else been to any festivals this summer? I’m desperate to get to some more, but it’s back to work for now…
